Movie 10 of the fiftyfiftyme challenge - RED

For whatever reason I put off this movie for a while. I’m kind of sad that I did. It’s 100% fun stupid action. There is a plot, but I really didn’t care with the amount of funny one liners and awesome action sequences featuring people who could be your grandparents. It was one of the few movies in a while that I was genuinely excited about most of the characters that were involved. I think Karl Urban did a fantastic job for having arguably a small part in the movie.

Also the fight scene at the CIA headquarters along with the “Old man my Ass” scene (which is in the trailer) was worth it alone. Not too mention that Helen Mirren is adorable in this movie. Yes I used the word adorable to describe a 60+ y/o Wetworks expert.

Movie 9 of the fiftyfiftyme challenge - Bunraku

Man I wanted to like this movie. Josh Hartnett, Ron Pearlman, Woody Harrilson, Demi Moore this should have been a win. The movie dragged on for about a half hour too long. The action swayed drastically from fantastic to boring at moments as well.

Also the ending was super anti-climatic. The one saving grace of the entire movie was Kevin McKidd as Killer No 2. He was actually an interesting character. Great style and some of the best dialogue in the movie as well.

If I had to rate it, 2 out of 5. If they had edited it down to an hour and a half instead of 2 maybe it would have went up.

Book 10 of the fiftyfiftyme Challenge: All Hail Megatron Vol 2
The second half of the All Hail Megatron story arc. This continues and completes probably one of the best Transformers comics I have ever read. They are both phenomenal. I highly recommend this series.

SHERLOCK TEA COLLECTION GIVE AWAY!
Awesome news guys! The cool folks at Adagio have been kind enough to help out with a giveaway for a complete collection of the Sherlock Tea blends. That is 11 bags of different tea featuring art work by yours truly. That’s about 50 servings in each bag. More if you re-steep your tea (which is possible with most of them). That is a LOT of tea. How bonkers is that? Very. It’s awesome. Here’s the lowdown on how to win A WHOLE BUNCH OF TEA.
Anyone ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD can enter! If you live outside of the U.S. I’ll foot the bill to get you some tea myself. Because odds are you are awesome and you deserve it.
You do not have to be following me to win, but it might be helpful to keep track of updates or changes (if any). Plus I plan to make some blends for other fandoms in the future, so if tea is your thing, it might not be a bad idea?
Only two reblogs a day allowed.I did not realize how often people would reblog my last give away soooo I’m going to enforce this LOL. You can reblog on as many days as you’d like, but yeah, only 2 reblogs a day please. I’ll be checking.
The give away will end and I will choose a winner on Wednesday March 7th. I’ll probably choose late at night on that day, so I’m going to say I’ll stop counting reblogs at 10 p.m. EST.
[ADDED] LIKES DON’T COUNT. Sorry! You have to reblog!
A big thanks to Adagio for hooking us up with some awesome tea, and for all of you for following me and encouraging my tea-y ways! Good luck everyone!

That is a lot of tea

Movie 8 of the fiftyfiftyme challenge - Conan O’Brien Can’t Stop
The first Documentary of the challenge. This was incredibly interesting to watch. It’s odd to see Conan O’Brien almost completely unfiltered. It’s also pretty clear that this shows how angry he was at being pushed out by NBC while being excited to do something new.
When I first started watching the movie all I could think was how much of an asshole this portrays Conan. But when I remembered this was filmed almost right after he was sent packing from the Tonight Show I realized he has every right to be angry.
Anyone who is a Conan fan needs to watch this movie. It does a great job of showing how hard he pushes himself to entertain his fans.

Book 9 of the fiftyfiftyme Challenge: All Hail Megatron Vol 1
This book is a litte confusing as it plays off of and reboots some continuity for the comics. If you can let that slide then it’s a super fun read. I especially liked the addition of General Hawk as a supporting character. He’s of course not the General Hawk we know, but it put a smile on my face.
The book is interesting because it tries to delve into the minds of a superior force as it has conquered everything. As we know the Decepticons don’t like to just sit around. There’s lots of questioning on Megatron’s authority. It’s also interesting to see more of the Starscream/Megatron interaction.
Something else that is super interesting to read is the Autobots as a bunch of PTSD Vets of a war they just lost. they’re at an all time low. They have no leadership at the moment and Optimus Prime is essentially on his death bed. Not too mention they’re stranded on Cybertron with no way back into the fight.
