Book 5 of the fiftyfiftyme Challenge: Star Wars: The Old Republic
I read this on Dark Horse’s app. It was two stories that are preludes to the new MMO. Both were pretty good setup. Nothing mind blowing by any means. although it was kind of crazy to find out that one of the Jedi Masters on the council may be Darth Revan’s kid. You know the main Character from Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic. The first Bioware foray into Star Wars. I wonder if that will be addressed in the game…

Is it odd I find something Awkward, because it wasn’t Awkward?
I met with an ex the other day that I hadn’t seen in damn close to three years. The odd part about this is it breaks a rule I’ve been pretty strict with and that is, you don’t talk to exes.
My ex, Lynn, blogged about it on her site, so I felt compelled to as well.
The whole thing came about because she still talks with some of my friends. The even funnier part is that one of my best buddies has been talking with her about Star Wars: TOR. A little thing to know about Lynn and myself is that we both love Star Wars. Hell our relationship kind of started around a Star Wars tabletop game I ran.
I’m SF bound in the next week and I was just restarting the game I decided to ask her if she wanted in on the last session so I could finally finish a story I set out to tell years ago.
Well after one friend voiced a concern that I was somehow creating an elaborate scheme to possibly throw Lynn down a flight of stairs (let’s just say it didn’t end well (Mostly for me)) and another mentioning something similar, we thought it might be a good idea to meet and see how awkward it was.
From the moment I sat down to when I stood up to leave there wasn’t a single moment where I was angry about what had happened or awkward about the whole thing. I started to think today, “Isn’t that maybe a little weird. Shouldn’t I have been awkward or angry?”
But then I remembered I’m an “Adult” now. Maybe this is what an “Adult” acts like. I also remembered the age old saying “Time heals all wounds” which I can say, applied in this scenario.
I just hope it doesn’t mean someone is coming to collect all my comics and Star Wars stuff to replace them with sweater vests.
